Common Crime Releases New Single: “Life Preserver”

I reviewed both “Repressions” and “Call of the Rat” for Philly’s Common Crime about a month ago, and they are already back with “Life Preserver” a melodic pop punk tune about heartbreak most sorrowful. As with their past songs, I hear a lot of PUP and Menzingers in this tune. Big catchy choruses, guitars playing in harmony, and solid as fuck drums and bass giving it all the energy it needs to make sure it hits like a fucking punk song. I might even hear a bit of Joyce Manor on this one. Could definitely see these dudes playing The Fest in Gainesville one day soon.

I’d be more than willingly to bring these dudes up to the Hudson Valley for a show in the future.

You can also check out their stuff on their Spotify or my Punk Playlist

Follow them on IG and FB and check out their website too

And if you’re in the Philly area on July 6th go check them out live, I know I would:

Saturday, July 6 @ 6:00PM Fourth Of July Weekend w/ Common Crime, Nothing Wrong, Squiggler, and Attack Dog! at Kung Fu Necktie, Philadelphia
