Won’t Say Rabbit Releases New Single: “Just a Prisoner”

Won’t Say Rabbit’s new song, “Just a Prisoner” mixes elements of punk, grunge and indie rock into a dope, catchy as fuck rock song.

The song is led by a sick bass line punctured by some rapid tom drum rolls that then just kicks into the song with gusto. As they note they have a female vocalist who brings powerful clean vocals that remind me a little of Cervanka from X.

I could totally see people singing along when they kick into that powerful chorus.

I love the ending with the steady bass drum hits followed by the bass that just comes to an abrupt end.

And those tom rolls that happen throughout the song sound almost rushed which adds this on the edge of the knife feel to the song that’s pretty rad.

Usually when a band offers up their own comparisons, I tend to disagree, but in this instance, I can definitely see how they are a mix of The Buzzcocks, Shangri La and Cheap Trick.

Check them out on Bandcamp and buy their shit:

You can also check them out on their Spotify or my Punk Playlist

And since I’m a live album record label, I love to find live footage:

Follow all their socials and shit: IG, Twitter, Website

Hailing from NJ, I’ll definitely keep them on my radar to see them live if I’m able to since they aren’t that too far away.
