DEDPAN Releases New Single: “Lie to Me”
Australia’s DEDPAN plays hardcore punk that is a bit like a mix between what you’d hear if you mixed C.O.F.F.I.N, Amyl and The Sniffers, OFF!, CIVIC and Speed all together i.e. fucking sick!
It opens with a solid groove with a snare roll that brings into the fast paced verse overlayed with punk screamed vocals and then back into the groove for the chorus where I could see people dancing the fuck out or chanting along to “Lie to Me!”. The bridge has a dope bass riff that builds along with the drums into a full throated blast of fuck. Love the fake ending that comes back in after some rad snare cracks (snare sound reminded me of what I might have heard on Snapcase recordings or early Helmet recordings!).
