Shelf Lives Release New Single: “All Grown Up”

Post punk as, Shelf Lives, describes themselves is a really amorphous and almost meaningless in terms of musical style, but it does hint at the soul of an artist. So I didn’t know what music I would get, but I was hoping to receive something that spoke to the spirit of punk and what followed, and that’s indeed what I got. I admit that the programmed drum beats urging me to dance are not the norm of what I listen to, but damn it if this song isn’t good. The vocals are what really got me. There is something about the flow of the delivery with just the right touch of effects that really hooked me. I also appreciate the understated vocals on the chorus that kinda give a more mellow vibe as a counterpoint to the on the edge of disaster vocal styles of the chorus.
