Misanthropic Therapy Releases New Single: “Realm of the Absurd”
Just looking at the cover of this release, I was stoked to hear it. It fully set my expectation that I’d be listening to some brutal ass fuck extreme metal, and I was not disappointed in the least!
I just can’t deny my love for ridiculous fast double bass drum and snare blast beats which this song is just everywhere. The entire song is one constant fuck. It just pounds at you over and over again with thrash guitars, rad harmonic leads, vocals that are evil and growly without sounding like the cookie monster. It smashes up against your senses hard and drags you down the fucking street and the ever so slowly just fades away. Fucking killer. Even at it’s “slow” points, it still make me want to bang my head whiling circle ptting!
This “band” is a duo of musicians. One from Canada who handles all the instruments and one from the U.K. who supplies the vocals. I’m hoping after their EP is released by Seance (US) and Hate Life Productions (France) that they can bring their version of Viking metal on tour with a full band that can pull off all of this because that would be some dope ass shit to see live. Also hoping the EP is on vinyl and not just digital cause I’d grab a copy for sure.
