Commodity Releases New Single: “Fell from the Sun”
Commodity has sent me a dope single, “Fell from the Sun” off their EP, Between the Lines. My first thought is that I could be back in DC at St. Andrews Church listening to some late 1990’s early 2000’s melodic hardcore and youth crew bands. Think like Kid Dynamite and Strike Anywhere mixed with Ten-Yard Fight and In My Eyes all mixed with Bane. It’s got all the parts that would make this a stand out track on any album or compilation heavy riffage, intense vocals, melodic guitar lics, kick ass drumming and more! The breakdowns are dope as and the call and response between the singer and the rest of the band is so powerful, I almost thought this was a live recording with hundreds of people singing back. They are in Alabama, so I don’t know if they tour north, but if they do, I’d fucking love to have them play up here.
Check their shit out on Bandcamp, and make sure to buy it on the next Bandcamp Friday. (If this shit were on a vinyl, I’d be scooping it up for sure).
Follow them on IG, FB and check out their Linktree too
