Lemongrab Release New Single: “Winter Deprimiert”

There is so much happening in Lemongrab’s first single, “Winter Deprimiert”, off their forthcoming album, I spy with my little eye. There is the dance pop of bands like Devo, there is the raw fucked upness of The Stooges, the emphatically spit vocals reminiscent of 90’s riot grrrl bands and more. This is one of those dope ass songs where I can’t say it sounds like A or B, because they meld so many different influences into their own thing.

I don’t speak German, so I don’t know the lyrics, but based on the title and having spent time in Germany, I’m guessing its about the bleakness of the winters. Having just moved to upstate NY from Florida, I can get missing the sun.

Check them out on their Spotify or on my Punk Playlist

Also check out their and if you’re in Germany grab a ticket on their event page for their album release show on 2/29. I wish I could.
