Fireman Releases New Song: “World Peace, Eventually”

This is some rad ass politically charged hardcore punk rock. It mixes the veins of 80’s hardcore a la Minor Threat and Gorilla Biscuits with late 90’s hardcore of bands like Strike Anywhere and Lifetime with touches of Bad Religion. Love the sneer in the vocals that just add to the outrage and disdain.

As a history teacher and as a politically active anti-war punk since the first Gulf War, I dig the message—both it’s angry vehemence as well as its please for a better future.

The whole “eventually” part reminds me of Winston Churchill who once said something akin to “America always does the right thing, after trying everything else first”

This is part of an EP release:

Per the artist: “Inspired by anarcho-punk classics, Fire Man’s upcoming EP Territorial Conquest 2024 is an uneasy exploration of the anxiety, confusion, and hatred the fog of war instills in us all. Filled with reflections on the past catastrophes of the Cold War, sympathy for the victims of the present invasion of Ukraine, and visions of the future filled with both hope and despair, Fire Man’s Territorial Conquest 2024 is a dramatic noise rock record with music as extreme as the lyrical subject it contends with. All profits we earn from this EP on bandcamp sales, cassette sales, and streaming royalties will go directly to Doctors Without Borders.”
