Spencer Jo Releases New Single: “Quiet Violence”

I reviewed Spencer Jo’s “Talking to Myself” about two months ago, so I was stoked to have them send me another new song. Their new single, “Quiet Violence” is another reason everyone should be ordering their new full length LP: The Water released in collaboration with Meter Records, Momentsfestsiksika, and Sawdust Records.

Whereas the last song reminded me of Against Me!, Tim Barry, Frank Turner and Chuck Ragan this release reminds me more of Dave Hause which I love!

This song is more personal and emotional that the last one and seems to focus on themes of longing and loss and an inability to make a connection and the quiet violence that this can do on a person. It’s a really beautiful, haunting song that just gets better with each listen.

Pick the vinyl on transparent blue and get the digital download too by ordering it here

You can also check them out on their Spotify or my (Folk) Punk Playlist
